What is Lasik ?

It is a treatment done with a cold laser on the cornea to neutralise glass power required to see far sight clearly.

Am I eligible for lasik?

If you are 19 years old or more, your glass power is stable for 1 year and your eye on examination is found suitable then you can safely under go lasik to get rid of glasses.

How much time it takes?

It takes about 7minuits for each eye to complete the procedure.

Is one eye or both eyes are done at a time?

Both eyes are done at a time for early recovery and better comfort.

Is it painful?

It is done after putting anaesthetic ( Numbing ) eye drops in eyes and is not painful either during the procedure or after that. Eyes may feel gritty for few hours after Lasik.

How many days will it take for clear vision?

It takes about 12 to 24 hours for recovery of vision. But vision clarity may fluctuate and stabilize by 7 days.

How many days will I have to rest at home?

You can go to work or follow normal life style after 24 hours.

What restrictions will I have to follow?

You will asked to use medicines as instructed and not wash eyes for seven days.You can do normal work after 1 or 2 days.

How safe is it?

Lasik is not only very effective but is also very safe.

Will my power again come back?

No , the effect of Lasik treatment is permanent.
